O Conselho Nacional do Café (CNC) lançou em 2021, em parceria com Companhia Nacional de Abastecimento (CONAB) e o Ministério da Agricultura, Pecuária e Abastecimento (MAPA), a cartilha “Boas Práticas em Armazéns de Café”. O trabalho foi realizado pelas equipes técnicas das instituições e produzido pelo departamento de comunicação do CNC.
“O grão de café é um alimento e, por isso, a cartilha orienta gestores de armazéns e cooperativas que detenham espaços de estocagem de café, a armazená-lo corretamente. Assim, o produto expressa sua excepcional qualidade na xícara”, explica Silas Brasileiro, presidente do CNC.
A ideia surgiu a partir da identificação por parte do Comitê de Pesquisa & Tecnologia do CNC, da falta de informações direcionadas à armazenagem do café, que é uma cultura que produz grãos de características únicas e, por isso, deve ser estocada com o máximo rigor e cuidado. Vale ressaltar que a CONAB lança em breve uma consulta pública para publicação de uma Instrução Normativa específica para armazenagem de café. O CNC irá acompanhar e apoiar esse processo.
A parceria com a Conab e o Mapa foi fundamental para a qualidade do produto final, principalmente no que se refere às informações técnicas. O CNC contou com o apoio de Stelito Assis dos Reis Neto, Superintendente de Armazenagem, Paulo Claudio Machado Junior, Gerente de Armazenagem e Lafaiete Fernandes Oliveira, Assistente de Área de Armazenagem, todos profissionais da CONAB. Além desses profissionais, o trabalho contou com o apoio do professor da Universidade Federal de Viçosa, Paulo César Corrêa.
“Queremos agradecer o apoio da Ministra Tereza Cristina em todas as ações propostas pelo CNC e, claro, à equipe técnica da CONAB e ao professor Paulo César da UFV, que apoiaram e ajudaram a construir essa cartilha que será fundamental para os armazéns que estocam café”, finaliza o presidente.
